Juvéderm Voluma XC is a deep injection in the cheek area to correct age-related volume loss and chin augmentation to improve chin profile. It is made from a modified form of hyaluronic acid which is a natural complex sugar that occurs within our bodies. It is usually used to restore volume loss on the cheeks or central face, and to restore the more youthful curvature and position of the upper cheekbones of women. In Europe and Canada, Juvéderm Voluma has been widely and successfully used for FDA off-label use to lift, volume and contour lines on the face and chin.

What to expect

Photos and numbing will be applied prior to treatment. You will discuss the desired lip wanted. Your injector will provide suggestions on the filler that suits your lip and desired result. There may be swelling for up to 7 days. Bruising is a possibility, however, extreme pain and bruising would require contacting one of our on-call practitioners. Avoid wearing lipstick for 24 hours. Avoid alcohol for 48 hours.
